HERE’S WHAT WE NEED:

  • An awesome smile and winning attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and be part of a winning team.
  • 1-2 yrs working with oysters - experience is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and Sundays.
  • Ability to follow a schedule and be punctual.
  • Able to stand/walk for 8 hours.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shuck oysters to specifications - safely, clean, and efficiently
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables and/or preparing sauces)
  • Shuck and/or cook oysters in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team
  • Answer, report and follow kitchen managers instructions
  • Clean up station thoroughly
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Comply with state laws
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members
  • Entertain guests and assist bartenders in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance under pressure.

SKILLS

  • Proven cooking experience
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with our industry’s best practices
  • Friendly Personality and Understanding of Health Code
