Description

 

Summary:

Work alongside the Property Manager in overseeing all aspects of the properties. You will assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintenance service requests, on boarding of additional units/projects, annual recertifications and above all, provide excellent customer service.


General Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Director of Property Management
  • Monitor collections, post rent payments, and enforce the collection policy
  • Perform all aspects of apartment leasing such as touring with prospective residents, processing applications, handling re-certifications, lease renewals, and move in's
  • Assures all Affordable Housing procedures, rules and guidelines are adhered to according to Federal, State, Agency and Program regulations, policies and procedures
  • Meets weekly with the immediate supervisor to report any issues or concerns, review the past week and plan for the following week
  • Attend formal and informal training sessions assigned by your immediate supervisor
  • Provide a monthly report for accounts receivable, annual re-certifications and vacancy to the immediate supervisor
  • Address delinquencies with immediate supervisor to determine court proceedings
  • Respond to resident issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Promote positive resident relations with exceptional customer service and understanding
  • Under supervision of the Property Manager, assist in physical and financial management as needed
  • Manage resident correspondence and recertification notices
  • Act as Property Manager in manager's absence

 Authority: This position holds a moderate degree of independence within the framework of Affordable Housing policies and procedures. The individual must be detailed oriented, organized and able to display initiative in setting priorities to tasks and in making decisions. Must keep immediate supervisor abreast of issues and concerns which merit intervention from higher level management staff. 


Typical Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 year of related experience in Affordable Housing
  • Must have LIHTC experience
  • Must understand Fair Housing Laws
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with property management software such as Boston Post

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Affordable Housing experience- LIHTC/HUD programs
  • Certifications in LIHTC, COS, Fair Housing
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
