Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Bottling  Shipping and Receiving forklift driver are to provide organization, and  movement assistance and coordination with glass shipment deliveries and  returns. The Bottling Shipping and Receiving forklift driver is the primary  contact between the Warehouse and Bottling for all glass delivery  coordination. Additionally, the Bottling Shipping and Receiving forklift  driver offers floor support to the Bottling team.  All forklift drivers are asked to operate the  forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. 


Reports to: Bottling Manager/Bottling Supervisor 

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt 

Shift: Tue-Fri, 5:00AM-3:30PM 

Requirements

You Will: 

  • Review bottling schedule to coordinate glass deliveries and returns for bottling.
  • Work with carriers to ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and compliance with company  policies. 
  • Assist and notify purchasing of all received damaged dry goods or packages. 
  • Communicate with Bottling management of any shipping damage.
  • Support Bottling on all receiving  operations, including accurate and timely inventory program processing, loading and unloading of goods, and proper movement of receivables.
  • Unload, move, and consolidate  applicable inventories to ensure space is orderly and functional to the operations.
  • Identify damages and report shortage or quality deficiencies.
  • Perform pre-operational forklift  safety inspections and report any issues to supervisor.
  • Keep updated records of pallet logs.
  • Keeps accurate counts of finished  good product. 
  • Verifies correct log, type of pallet,  pallet and tag is being used by comparing against the MRM.
  • Verifies correct dry goods are staged  before bringing to the line. 
  • Verifies the settings on the stretch  wrapper are correct. 
  • Verifies correct placement of pallet  tag on the finished product. 
  • Clearly marks the front of all finished  product lanes.
  • Comply with company policies, legal, and safety guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
  • Comply with GMP’s and PPE requirements.
  • Restacking and wrapping any pallets as needed.
  • Takes out garbage and recycling to the dumpsters. 
  • Change Propane tanks and store  empty’s in the cage.
  • Help the bottling team on the floor as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Have: 

  • Excellent communication and social skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel,  and Outlook. 
  • Microsoft Navision experience a plus.
  • Experience as forklift operator (Wine Industry preferred).
  • 2-3 years’ experience in winery  production is preferred.
  • Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 50 pounds over moderate distances.  
  • Position will require occasional shift flexibility and extended hours availability.
  • Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
