Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports focusing on cost of goods sold, variances, factory efficiencies, and overall financial statement analysis. Your ability to communicate a clear narrative around the business drivers behind financial results and their potential implications on the future is crucial.
- Budget and Forecasting: Take the lead in managing budget and forecasting processes for the operations departments. This includes incorporating business initiatives, economic trends, and operational effectiveness to ensure financial alignment.
- Inventory Management: Assume responsibility for inventory reporting and control, including annual physical inventory reconciliations and E&O reserve analysis.
- Standard Costing: Ensure the accuracy of standard costing and inventory costs, leading an annual review and analysis of standard costs for revaluation.
- New Product Development: Provide essential financial support for new product development initiatives, helping guide decisions that impact the company's growth.
- Capital Projects: Function as a capital project administrator, ensuring that proposed capital projects are well-documented for justification, classification of capital vs. expense, asset write-off, and payback. Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and purchasing.
- Strategic Financial Counsel: Deliver financial and analytical counsel to facilitate decision-making for our strategic business initiatives, adding substantial business value.
- Process Improvement: Identify and execute process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate technical proficiency in financial tools and systems to maximize their potential.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of financial analysis experience is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Organization: Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Analytical Thinking: A critical thinker with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and database tools is necessary. Experience with the NetSuite ERP system is a plus.
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline is preferred.
