Best-One Retreading of Kansas is looking to add a Team Member to our growing Tire Retreading Plant. This is a career position for a motivated, hard-working team member. Best-One is committed to high-quality standards and treats all employees with dignity and respect.


 General Description: Ability to produce a high-quality retread by performing specific retreading tasks, as assigned, per Bandag specifications and time standards. 


 Duties Include: 

• High quality workmanship: keeping supervisor informed of production problems as they occur

 • General maintenance of specifically assigned equipment and area, in a safe, clean and workable manner 

• Training of personnel in specific area as assigned by supervisor

 • Skills to be improved and developed: buffing, initial inspection, certified repair, shipping, and basic tire analysis 

Requirements

  

Retread Technician Requirements:

· Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

· Team- Player: Works well as a member of a group.

· Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well

· Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen

· Technical Aptitude – Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information

· Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations


Physical Demands / Work Environment

· Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. 

· Lifting: frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high

· Standing for extended periods of time

· Environment: Work in environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

· Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) 

· Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment)
