We are currently hiring a Front Desk Attendant to join our guest services team. The Front Desk is often the first and last point of contact for our guests—so your role is crucial in delivering an exceptional stay. Position Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Front Desk Attendant provides warm, knowledgeable, and efficient service throughout the guest experience—from check-in to check-out. This position requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in guests with professionalism and warmth.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues as needed.
  • Answer internal and external calls and route inquiries efficiently.
  • Take reservations and update bookings via phone and hotel systems.
  • Run shift reports, reconcile daily transactions, and balance cash drawers.
  • Accurately execute end-of-day and closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
  • Communicate guest concerns and maintenance needs to the appropriate department or supervisor.

Special Requirements:

  • Regular and punctual attendance is essential. The hotel operates 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work shifts as business demands change (including potential overtime).
  • Minimum availability of 16 hours per week required for part-time employees.
  • Must comply with professional appearance and uniform standards.
  • Expected to uphold a team-oriented attitude and support colleagues across departments.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving weekly electronic timecards for accuracy.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for tools or controls.
  • Must be able to talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Work environment ranges from quiet to moderately active depending on guest traffic.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Lightspeed, Fosse, and MICROS systems preferred
  • Liquor License – KCMO, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
  • Must be willing to complete drug screen and background check in accordance with federal and state laws

 


Salary Description
$16/hr
