Westminster College seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in psychology beginning Fall 2024. We are seeking a forensic psychologist or similar specialist who can teach courses in their area of specialization and contribute to the psychology major and the general education program. The department has recently added a concentration within the psychology major focused on Forensic Psychology.


Essential Functions:

  • Teaching in-person courses to contribute to the psychology major, the forensic psychology concentration, and the general education program
  • Mentoring experiential learning, such as student internships, travel courses, and/or undergraduate research
  • Maintain scholarly, professional, or creative activity
  • Service to the college (after the first year of employment), including student advising and committee service
  • Occasionally teaching asynchronous online courses in the psychology department.

Job Requirements:

Education: Earned doctoral degree from a regionally/nationally accredited institution, completed by August 1, 2024. Applications from ABD candidates will be considered provided that a firm degree completion date is provided. 


  • Ability to teach successfully in a liberal arts setting is required. Candidates with limited teaching experience must engage in training that will enhance their pedagogy and skills in curricular design.
  • Successful candidates will also demonstrate the ability to involve students in experiential learning, an appreciation of holistic student development, and a commitment to the interdisciplinary life of a small undergraduate campus.
