Dishwasher/Utility

POSITION SUMMARY: The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards using machines and manual cleaning methods. Cleaning and sanitizing glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive      deliveries and properly put product in destinated areas
  • Transporting      items up and down steps as directed by managers
  • Sort      and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and      place them in racks to send through dishwasher

· Sort and stack clean dishes 

· Transfer clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas

· Wash pots, pans and trays by hand

· Remove trash and garbage to dumpster

· Set up or break down dishwashing area

· Clean and roll/unroll mats

· Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions

· Sweep/mop floors

· Clean restaurant and restrooms as directed

· Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least (insert desired age)      years of age
  • Minimum of 2      years’ experience 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

· Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours a week.

· Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours per day.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, submerge hands in water. 

· Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.

· Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and guest traffic.

· Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfis
