We are seeking an experience Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in overseeing tax planning and preparation functions, providing expert guidance to clients, and leading a team of professionals. This role reports directly to the Partner. 


A Day in the Life of a Tax Manager... 

  • Oversee Multiple Tax Engagements: Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Strategic Tax Planning: Provide high-level tax strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Client Advisory & Business Development: Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Final Review & Approval: Conduct final reviews of complex tax returns before partner sign-off.
  • Firm Leadership & Development: Lead training initiatives and mentor tax professionals across levels.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and mitigate risks for clients and the firm.
  • Engagement Profitability & Growth: Optimize firm resources, budgets, and profitability of tax services.
  • Represent the Firm Externally: Participate in networking events and professional organizations to enhance the firm’s presence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance (or related degree). Master’s in taxation a plus.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Minimum 6 years' blend of general and multi-state tax experience in public accounting, with recent experience at the manager level.
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
  • Client-focused with the ability to employ a consultative and client-focused approach.
  • A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • Experience effectively managing direct reports and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
