POSITION SUMMARY: The Deli Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Deli activities within assigned region. The Deli Supervisor ensures the highest level of customer service throughout each assigned location, organizes and oversees the schedules, food inventory and preparation, and performance of deli employees and acts as a role model and leader to all ROC store employees, and maximizes the workforce to achieve maximum results.

Knowledge and Education

• Associate degree in business, management or operations required and/or combination of education and equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of retail management and people management
• Knowledge of overall effective business management, including operational responsibility for revenues, expenses, and risk management.
• Solid knowledge of deli store operations, required – food preparation, merchandising, inventory control.

Experience

• Three to five years’ experience in management, restaurant or store management, or store operations position.
• Experience and knowledge in the areas of management, finances, accounting, reporting, customer service, inventory management, and other related operational areas.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation skills.
• Excellent skills in areas of leadership, management, coaching, teaching, and motivating employees.
• Ability to interact with all levels in an organization.
• Demonstrated attentiveness to details; mathematical analytical ability. Use of calculator.
• Good computer skills, e.g. point of sale system, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems – operational, customer, and employee.
• Thorough understanding of ROC’s products and services.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a high pressure and demanding environment.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to multi-task, i.e., pick-up where left off when interrupted.
• Good organizational skills.
