Position Overview:

The Repurpose Shock Line Supervisor is a working supervisor overseeing the employees assigned to the repurpose production line. This role is expected to oversee the repurpose production line, to assure processes are followed, employees are engaged, productivity is meeting metric, and to troubleshoot any issues that arise.  If required, expected to physically assist the sort line team in performing the daily work within their assigned areas while coordinating and overseeing the activities of other employees under their supervision. The Repurpose Shock Line Supervisor is in frequent communication with their manager and ensures work performed in the area is aligned with the daily objectives of the team. Additionally, the Repurpose Shock Line Supervisor provides training and instruction so others can complete tasks quickly, effectively and within DMA standard operating procedures for the tasks being performed. 

Requirements

  

Responsibilities: 

· Provide daily supervisory oversight for the employees assigned within their team.

· Ensure a safe operating environment is always maintained and that employees are following all safety protocols and policies. 

· Ensure employees are properly trained in their specific duty tasks.

·  Ensure employees are cross trained in the various tasks performed within the department so that the team is flexible and be responsive to account for labor shortages or call outs. 

· Ensure the Company’s employee code of conduct practices and event escalation procedures are followed in the management of team members. 

· Organize and plan daily work in assigned area, assign duties, set priorities, address concerns, and troubleshoot problems affecting the team’s performance.

·  Determine manpower needed to complete assigned work task and work with manager to make sure appropriate staffing levels are maintained. 

· Determines, sequences, and assigns work activities for team members based on work priority and quantity of skilled personnel available. 

· Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and detect, and correct deviations from standard operating procedures and safety guidelines as performed by employees under their supervision. Ensure all housekeeping standards are maintained daily prior to the end of the workday shift. 

· Prepare end-of-day productivity report and email to senior managers. 

· Providing additional warehouse supervision support as needed


Requirements:

· Strong people management skills and communication skills

· Ability to set clear goals, delegate tasks and set deadlines

· Forklift experience preferred

· Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. consistently during complete shift

· Ability to stand, bend, twist during complete shift

· Computer (email, basic excel, etc) and mathematical ability


Education and/or Work/Skill Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. 

· Higher level of education preferred.

· Training, Safety, and First Aid experience a plus. 

· Computer and technology skills appropriate to perform job duties and reporting expectations. 

· Experience working in a production environment, supervising working employees of diverse backgrounds and cultures preferred.

· Incumbent work hours/schedule and/or shift are subject to change based on business needs and Management discretion.

· Compensation based on experience and work ready skills. 

· Other duties may be assigned as the business necessitates.

· Company has a “Zero Tolerance” policy regarding insubordination and/or refusal to carry out work as directed. This can result in immediate separation of employment.

· Complies with Dress Code appropriate for the work environment.


Language Skills: Ability to read and write in English. Ability to effectively articulate and present information and respond to questions from Management in a professional manner.
