Description

 

Position Overview:

IT Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the DMA’s Information Technology Department and reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role’s responsibilities include management of all Information Systems infrastructure and hardware associated with the organization. The IT Manager also provides oversight for all systems in the organization to include hardware, equipment, and users.

Responsibilities:

  • ERP experience required
  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Supervises IT Helpdesk staff by assigning tasks, training/coaching, and promoting professional development.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • ERP System Management
  • Oversee and delegate responsibilities for implementation of technical projects and tasks in alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technological needs.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management.
  • Administer vulnerability management by testing and deploying Microsoft, application, and third-party patches and upgrades.
  • Administer Windows Active Directory domain, sites, group policy objects, organizational units, groups, computers, and user objects.
  • Administer network services including DHCP, DNS, and WINS.
  • Administer software licensing compliance on servers, workstations, and applications.
  • Identify user needs and work to find efficient options and IT solutions. 
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
  • Setup and modifications of current EDI Integration.
  • Ensure design of network/systems allow for all components to work properly together. 
  • Ensure network connectivity, throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure, is on par with technical considerations. 
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Perform network address assignment.
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Analyze and isolate issues through root cause analysis.
  • Continually monitor network systems and make recommendations for future upgrades based on company needs. 
  • Document and communicate any observed violations of the company’s policies on appropriate use of the internet and/or third-party unapproved software applications on company equipment. 
  • Ensure companywide systems and data backups are in place and properly functioning. 
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers, as well as printers.
  • Schedule and perform regular maintenance of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, label printers, scanners and phones.
  • Maintain a current asset list for all installed and/or issued technology and equipment by department and individual. 
  • Provide user training as necessary.

Qualifications:

· Understanding of security and data integrity controls and protocols.

· Strong working knowledge of ERP.

· Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.

· Experience with scripting and automation tools.

· A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.

· Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.

· Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Access. 

· Experience presenting technical data and information to non-technical users.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Logic based problem analysis and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy with memory skills capable of recalling details of past events or conversations with vendors and/or customers.

· Adaptability and capability to multi-task.

Education and Experience:

· Associates Degree in IT required, Bachelors preferred 

· Minimum of 4 years IT experience required

· Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)


Other:

· Incumbent work hours/schedule and/or shift are subject to change based on business needs and Management discretion

· Other duties may be assigned as business necessitates

· Company has a “Zero Tolerance” policy regarding insubordination and/or refusal to carry out work as directed. This can result in immediate separation of employment
