Description

Assist in leading campers in musical worship through instruments and, if assigned, vocals. Assist in selecting, performing, and leading age-appropriate music for chapel sessions.

Positional

  • Proficiency in contemporary worship vocals and/or instrumentation (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and/or percussion)
  • Experience with camp-age youth, grades 2nd-12th, preferred
  • Able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain campground in all seasons of the year; able to be on one’s feet for long periods of time
  • Assist worship team lead in selecting age-appropriate music. 
  • Assist in leading youth campers and ministry staff in worship at daily chapels.
  • Work with other designated ministry staff to effectively present worship opportunities.
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of music camp week.
  • Maintain and care for music equipment to prevent damage, theft, or other loss.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and presentable worship setting for campers.
  • Assist with summer camp programming and tasks as assigned.
  • Attend all meetings, both departmental and camp-wide.
  • Be involved in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
  • Assist in various responsibilities in order to facilitate Sunday camper drop- off and Saturday camper pick-up. 
  • Fulfill temporary assignments to other duties, including Cabin Leader, as needed. 

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.
