Position Overview:


Giana Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and execution of our innovative menu offerings, contributing to our reputation for culinary excellence. This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch of a new upscale American restaurant, where culinary creativity knows no bounds.


Key Responsibilities:


- Food Preparation: Prepare and execute dishes to the highest quality standards, following recipes and plating guidelines.

- Station Management: Manage a designated station in the kitchen, ensuring all components are ready for service.

- Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all dishes.

- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the culinary team to coordinate and expedite orders.

- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness.

- Sanitation: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to changes in menu items, guest preferences, and kitchen dynamics.

- Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.

- Creativity: Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development and improvements.

- Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining food quality.


Requirements


Qualifications:


- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant.

- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

- Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required.
