We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Hydroprocessing Specialist. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and leadership of all QTRX2 projects within an assigned region while exemplifying RTI’s Mission and Core Behaviors. 


Duties & Responsibilities


All Duties and Responsibilities noted below are in reference to QTRX2 Projects within assigned territory or under direct oversight:

· Coordinate with Directors of Business Development for:

· Identification of potential applications

· Plan development and milestone schedules 

· Chemistry allocation for projects

· Technical Presentations related to the QTRX2 process

· Coordinate with Director of Operations for:

· Perform detailed reviews of all RX project plans in assigned region

· Modification of all client HDS/HDC/Reformer shutdown procedures with RTI best practices and communicate value of the changes for acceptance

· Field review all key projects:

· First time clients

· High complexity projects

· Implementation of new strategies

· Manage all QTRX2 project deliverables schedules

· Perform REDI reviews on all QTRX2 projects

· Manage project schedules: OM arrival and departure times, logistics, etc.

· Act as a resource for REDI reviews for out of region projects.

· Provide in-field chemical cleaning supervision for key projects

· Perform as Execution Lead on projects as available

· Participate and lead reviews of client shutdown procedures to ensure proper procedure integration

· Ensure proper planning and execution staffing for all projects in assigned region has adequate RX expertise for a successful project

· Develop relationships and regularly interface with clients’ maintenance, operations, engineering, and turnaround teams.

· Ensure that effective SWAPs and JSAs are completed and reviewed for each project execution

· Complete Incident Reports and participate in cause findings and corrective actions

· Communicate all Lessons Learned to the broader Hyrdroprocessing Team in a timely manner

· Communicate all safety notifications upward and downward through the broader RTI organization


Supervisory Responsibilities (indirect)


· Serve as a lead for training new Hydroprocessing Specialists

· Actively train and mentor select OMs in the QTRX2 process

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


· A minimum of five years Process Engineering on Hydroprocessing units or 10 Years Hydroprocessing Operations at a refinery, chemical plant or upgrader. 

· Must be familiar with operations of refineries, chemical plants or upgraders. Able to:

o confidently lead a team of Operations Managers that plan and execute RX related work,

o become very familiar with general RTI technologies,

o become a Subject Matter Expert in the RTI QTRX2 Process,

o communicate clearly and effectively,

o effectively influence change,

o efficiently and effectively handle multiple activities at one time,

o quickly and thoroughly review cleaning plans,

o be comfortable meeting with client leadership,

o perform project planning and execution. 


Working Conditions / Physical Demands


The Company requires passing a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the position.

· Duration of Workhours During Project Executions:

· Typically, 12 continuous hours that may extend up to 16 – 18 hours if an emergent need exists, for up to 14 days in a row.

· Day shift and/or night shift.

· Working Conditions During Project Executions:

· Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.

· Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.

· Routine, intermittent exposure to noise more than 85 dBA-TWA.

· Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection for the shift duration.

§ Half-face, full-face, and/or supplied air

§ Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required.

§ Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required.

· Physical Demands:

· Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes. This requires an ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.

· Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs., without assistance.

· Pushing / pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance.

· Standing and walking for up to 12 to 16 hours daily with minimal rest breaks. May exceed 10,000 to 15,000 steps per day.

· Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing task including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools.


Travel Requirements


Travel requirement is 80-120 nights away from home in a year.

Travel for this role would be broken down into 3 areas:

1. Executions

2. Operations/Sales Meetings

3. Internal RTI Events
