ISG is excited to bolster our team with a Civil Engineer and join our Public Works Business Unit team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project collaboration, project execution, code review and evaluations, specification writers, visualization specialists, and construction administrators.
The Civil Engineer serves a pivotal role in ensuring quality design and project deliverables that align with an exceptional client experience and ISG engineering standards. We’ll need you to jump in headfirst on a broad range of public works-related work, including collaboration between diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders including urban stormwater, drinking water, wastewater, and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Prepare infrastructure master plans and studies, including stormwater management reports as applicable on project types.
- Prepare drawings, documents, details, schedules or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcPro GIS.
- Lead the evaluation and/or support of existing service area utility assets and develop corresponding recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement.
- Provide support in the design of the rehabilitation or replacement of water resources and drainage infrastructure.
- Monitor performance and adherence to plans and specifications during the construction phase.
- Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders.
- Coordinate and assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternative analysis, and other technical deliverables.
- Support and mentor junior staff through design consultation and QA/QC measures.
- Provide expertise on construction sites as needed.
- Subscribe to our goals and objectives, operating with a collaborative mentality.
- Meet with Clients and Contractors at their place of business or job site.
- Provide oversight and project leadership to drive the successful completion of water resources projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in civil water design.
- Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
