ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1992, After-School All-Stars is a national non-profit organization which provides free, daily afterschool programs to more than 140,000 children in need at 725 school and community sites in 19 chapters across the U.S. Our goals for our All-Stars are the same we have for our own children: to be healthy and active, to graduate high school and go on to college, to find a job that they love and to give back to their communities. We achieve this by identifying and fueling our students' individual passions, tying their interests to tailored academic support, enrichment and health and fitness programming.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a dedicated School-Age Child Care (SACC) Administrator to oversee and ensure compliance across various sites, working closely with Senior Leadership and Program Directors.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
Compliance Management:
- Oversee SACC compliance at all sites; ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Regularly review and update compliance protocols and guidelines to reflect and maintain changes in SACC regulations.
- Ensure the timely submission of required documentation and reporting to relevant governing bodies.
- Conduct regular site visits to audit compliance, address concerns, and provide support and guidance.
Staff Training & Development:
- Develop and conduct training sessions on SACC compliance for all staff.
- Support the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring all new hires receive adequate training on compliance requirements.
- Regularly update staff on any changes in compliance policies and procedures.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Liaise between the organization and regulatory bodies, maintaining open lines of communication.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Operations and Human Resources, to ensure cohesive implementation of compliance standards.
- Facilitate communication between sites, addressing concerns and sharing best practices.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all compliance-related activities, documentation, and correspondence.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance status, issues, and resolutions to organizational leadership.
- Oversee the proper documentation and secure storage of confidential information in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Education, Administration, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in school-age child care programs, preferably in a compliance or administrative role.
- Extensive knowledge of SACC regulations and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with database management, preferably the OCFS Facility Application and Management System (FAMS).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
