- What We Do | The Preschool Team
- With low child-to-teacher ratios, the Preschool Team adheres to the highest standards and is NAEYC Accredited. This team believes that children learn best in a play-based environment, where teachers shape the activities and environment to serve each child's individual needs best. The Preschool Team is also a group of learners, they have opportunities for training, conferences, and professional development so they can learn more about how to foster an innovative inquiry-based environment for our youngest learners.
- Why this Position is Important | The Role
- This position has the opportunity to care for infants or toddlers. This role is important because we know the significance of the first 1000 days and want to make sure we are doing everything we can to provide a rich learning environment from the very beginning.. Strong candidates will have experience with young learners, a growth mindset, and a desire to work collaboratively.
Requirements
- Care for and nurture the social and emotional needs of each child Mon-Fri 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Develop lesson plans and plan developmentally appropriate curriculum with the teaching team
- Effective and timely verbal and written communication with parents pertaining to a child's progress and needs as well as general information (through phone calls, newsletters, conferences, and progress reports)
- Actively participating in professional growth opportunities & weekly meetings

Qualifications
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred)
- A minimum of two years' experience in an accredited preschool (preferred)
