Process Technician
Description

The ideal candidates should be able to set up tools, trouble shoot mold, part, press and robot problems. They should also be able to setup and start production jobs as well as setup, programs and adjust robots. They will assist in new part sampling and help with setting process parameters on incoming production jobs too.


Essential responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

  • Set up the tool as per Daily Schedule using Mold Set up Checklist and complete pertinent paperwork.
  • Troubleshoot molding problems and document process, then make changes accordingly. 
  • When not working the tools, employee is required to maintain the quality of the production floor and monitor process parameters regularly. 
  • The employee is required to work in a moderate noise levels in the workplace and keep all manufacturing area neat and clean.
  • Help train Material Handlers (Process Tech Level C) and be able to cover the shift for the Supervisor (Process Tech Level A) when necessary.
  • Required to lift and / or push up to 55-pound loads. 
  • Will regularly stand, walk and use hands to keep active. 
Requirements
  • Two to three years related experience in injection molding, mold set-up and troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience working on molding machines such as Toyo, JSW, Krauss Maffei, etc. Candidate shall possess understanding on processing all types of parts including 2 shot molded components.
  • Basic computer skills are recommended as candidate will have to complete reports for new sampling requests.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Be able to work in a team environment
