Job Description 

 We have an immediate opening for entry-level candidates to join our Biotech manufacturing team to support efforts in producing EUA-approved Covid-19 antigen tests and other InBios products. This position is ideal for someone who wants to start out working in a biotech laboratory/manufacturing environment, learn industry standard good manufacturing practices (GMP), is ready to learn new skills and procedures and is comfortable working with machines and with your hands. We would like to see your resume if you have general industrial or academic laboratory experience and a willingness to learn more lab skills. This position provides opportunity for working with a team and independently on a variety of tasks including preparing buffers, running semi-automated machines, and producing large-scale lateral flow diagnostic test components. This position operates on two schedules.  This opportunity is for our 2nd shift, which is from 3:30 PM - 12:00 midnight Monday - Friday.

Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position 

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences or a similar field with at least 1 year of cumulative experience in a laboratory environment (undergraduate lab classes can be included) 
  • Good knowledge of general lab procedures and equipment use and care. 
  • Experience in lateral flow immunoassay (antibody-based) diagnostics desirable, but not required 
  • Familiar with or willingness to learn GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and able to adhere to SOPs and documented procedures (training provided). 
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 

Job duties include 

  • Work with semi-automated machinery on a daily basis. 
  • Review and log all work activities using work assignment/scheduling software. 
  • Working under GMP controlled, laboratory setting. 
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory area. 
  • Preparing buffers/solution under GMP/GLP. 
  • Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating semi-automated laboratory equipment. 
  • Supply ordering and inventory tracking/management. 
  • Aliquoting, pipetting and other general laboratory functions. 
  • Occasional work with potentially hazardous biological products. 
  • High level of accuracy is required, with special attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask with good organizational skills. 

Work environment information 

  • Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment. 
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 30lbs with assistance. 

Wage/Benefits information 

  • The starting pay range for this position is: $22.00 - $24.00/per hour 
  • The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/per hour.  Employees (and their families) are able to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance. Employees are covered by basic life insurance and long-term disability insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plans and Flexible Savings Account (FSA). Employees accrue 2-weeks of paid vacation per year and a total of eleven paid holidays throughout the year, which includes the holiday observance of winter break at year end (the workdays between Christmas Day and New Year's Day).
