Salary Information: 

Assistant Professor: Annual Minimum Salary-$158,300-Annual Maximum Salary-$190,000

Associate Professor: Annual Minimum Salary-$182,100-Annual Maximum Salary-$218,500Professor: Annual Minimum Salary-$209,400-Annual Maximum Salary-$301,550Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Pro-rated based on hours/week.


Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.


The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

General Summary:

Responsible for students’ clinical progress and the achievement of clinical training milestones. The Clinic Director provides guidance, monitoring, and direct clinical supervision to their assigned students and promotes comprehensive patient care. They are responsible for implementing clinical policies and clinical management to assure consistent daily operations, clinical workflows, appraised clinical assessments, calibration of clinical faculty, and consistent application of the SDM’s mission, vision, and philosophy of patient care. The Clinic Director will be the primary contact with the respective community clinic partner regarding the operations of the clinic and the conduct of the students. Clinic Directors are expected to model professionalism in oral health care at its best. Clinic Directors will supervise all assigned SDM dental faculty and staff at their respective clinics. Clinic Directors is supervised by the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.  Academic rank will be awarded based on clinical and academic experience.


Essential Job Functions:

•  Oversee the students, faculty and staff assigned to the community-based clinic and are responsible for the management of all patient care delivered within the clinic 

•  Provide didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral program 

•  Provide service to the school and university through participation on committees, etc. 

•  Perform research/scholarly activity 

•  Performs other related duties as assigned and based on school needs

Requirements

Education:

• Required: DMD/DDS


Experience:

• Required: Minimum 6 years of clinical practice or teaching experience

• Certification in dental specialty is a plus

• Required: A valid State of Washington dental license or be eligible for a State of Washington Dental license
