shipping/receiving clerk - 6:30 am - 3 pm and 11 am - 7 pm
Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for handling all shipping and receiving on the respective shifts.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Safe Forklift operation – must be licensed operator

· Handling all shipping / receiving for the hours of employee’s scheduled shift (overtime possible)

· Input AS400 job orders and generate accurate work order cards.

· Timely distribute work order cards to designated customer containers

· Place customer orders in designated receiving areas

· Maintain clean / organized shipping and receiving areas, including outside dock areas

· Clerical responsibilities – filing, faxing and organizing paperwork

· Take direction from Production Manager and senior shipping personnel

· Generate shipping documentation based on customer requirements

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILTIES:

· Stage material for furnace operators

· Blast production or material testing

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES:

· Familiarity with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

· Familiarity with AS/400

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Required to have fork lift & crane certification if present.
  • Hazmat training
