Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Greeting the customers in a friendly, professional manner
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their financial needs and goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering assistance.

Account Management:

  • Assist customers in opening, closing, and managing various types of accounts, such as savings, checking, money market, and certificates of deposit.
  • Educate customers on account features, fees, and benefits.
  • Assist with additional services and products such as, ATM and debit card requests, check orders, compromised accounts and savings bonds.
  • Perform Teller duties as necessary including processing deposits, checks and payments, verifying cash and endorsements and issuing receipts.

Financial Transactions:

  • Conduct financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and account balance inquiries, efficiently and accurately.

Cross-Selling and Product Recommendations:

  • Identify opportunities to recommend and cross-sell banking products and services to customers, such as loans, credit cards, investment options, and insurance.
  • Tailor recommendations based on customers' financial needs and goals.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies to maintain the integrity and security of banking operations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC)
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the banking industry and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

Cash Handling and Security:

  • Handle cash transactions accurately, follow cash management procedures, and maintain security measures to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Count cash, balance transactions and your teller drawer with a high level of accuracy.
  • Understand and review check endorsements and apply endorsement standards
  • Process mail, night depository, mobile and ATM deposits

Problem Resolution:

  • Address customer concerns, complaints, and disputes in a professional and timely manner, aiming for satisfactory resolutions and positive customer experiences.

Sales Targets and Performance Goals:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance goals related to account openings, cross-selling, and customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and organized customer records, transaction logs, and documentation related to account management and other banking activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1 year of Account Services, Universal Banker and Cash handling experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in banking, retail banking, or customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and procedures.
  • Sales and customer service experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in using banking software and computer applications.
