Position: Customer Service & Inside Sales Specialist

Reports To: Director of Aftermarket



Job Summary

The Customer Service & Inside Sales Specialist is a key member of the AMP Aftermarket team and reports to the Director of Aftermarket. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about customer satisfaction, excited to learn new things, dedicated to solving problems, diligent in the use of purposeful communication, and driven to grow the business profitably.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None


Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Respond to customer requests via phone and email, helping to answer questions, place orders, and provide needed information
  • Identify customer needs and proactively offer solutions that meet those needs while growing Aftermarket sales
  • Advocate for customers across the organization by building relationship with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and other teams
  • Proactively find ways to increase client retention, leading to increased sales and more satisfied customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/Traits:

Communication: Clear, concise communication is a key to success in this role

Relationship-building: Driving customer success depends upon the relationships you build with other team members, as well as the relationships you build with customers

Agility: At AMP, we all pitch in to get the job done. This means learning new things, searching for solutions, and raising your hand to help.

Organization: Customer Service and Inside Sales require the ability to prioritize and communicate across multiple quotes, orders, and teams at the same time


Required Education and Experience:

2+ years in a customer-facing, sales, or communication-heavy role

Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, etc.)

Proficiency with MSOffice and the ability to learn new software

Hands-on mechanical experience or understanding of process equipment a plus


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Other:

Attend educational workshops related to Lean, Epicor or other topics related to the role at the Company’s expense.

Must comply with corporate requirements for confidentiality and non-compete agreements.

Must be able to travel within the US up to 10%.
