SUMMARY:
As a Training Developer for the Army, you will be responsible for researching, developing, designing, and implementing instructional materials and training courses for Army personnel. You will collaborate with the customer to understand training requirements, analyze training needs, and design effective and engaging training materials that align with the Army's mission and objectives. You will also use a variety of instructional design strategies and eLearning technologies to create multimedia-based training materials that are accessible to learners. Working for the Army as a Training Developer requires a strong commitment to the military and its mission. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the training and development of Army personnel, helping them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out their duties effectively and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and evaluate logistics data and outcomes within the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), General Fund Enterprise Business System (G-FEBS), and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) accountable systems of record.
- Provide recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of Enterprise Business Systems (EBS)-Convergence
- Develop and maintain a training support plan, to include maintaining all associated data, for the convergence of all accountable systems of record into EBS.
- Ensure proper tracking and resolution of system trouble/error reports.
- Review and provide an assessment of proposed projects to ensure feasibility.
- Develop course outlines, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools that align with Army training standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with the customer to identify training needs, objectives, and performance goals.
- Use a variety of instructional design models and strategies to create engaging and effective courseware, including multimedia elements such as video, audio, and interactive simulations.
- Utilize eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems to create, deliver, and manage courseware.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on courseware to ensure accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Hands-on provisioning experience within General Fund Enterprise Business System (G-FEBS) and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) accountable systems of record: three (3) years
- Training development experience: two (2) years
- Three (3) years' experience with SAP ERP in general and one (1) year in developing training products for GCSS-Army
- Hands-on experience with GCSS-Army: three (3) years
- Design and development experience with Adobe Captivate or Storyline 360: one (1) year
- Excellent communication, presentation development, and customer interaction skills, both face-to-face and virtually
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a geographically dispersed group.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years' experience in related field
- Highly experienced GCSS-Army User within two (2) or more GCSS-Army business areas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify training needs and design effective solutions.
- Designs, develops, and implements innovative and effective learning that aligns with lesson objectives.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) administration
