Description

 Secondary Operations is responsible for safe and efficient production of quality parts by using tools for trimming, drilling and boring plastic molded parts to specification using processes and procedures as specified in a manufacturing environment.  Work schedule is M-Th, 7am-4:30pm; Fri 7am-11am. 

Requirements

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follows instructions, documented      processes, and training procedures to accurately produce parts that meet      quality standards.
  • Follows training practices to manage      quality while working with machines and equipment such as milling      machines, punches, and hand drills.
  • Ensures compliance with Global      Polymer safety practices by wearing PPE and following specific job hazard      controls.
  • Verifies accuracy of parts using      digital caliper to detect any flaws or defects.
  • Offers suggestions for productivity      improvement and workflow processes.
  • Maintains quality and quantity output      and is accountable for both.
  • Learns and demonstrates proper use of      tools associated with trimming.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and on the job training 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate in either Spanish or English
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to details is required.
  • Ability to act and interact with others in a respectful manner.
  • Preference given to prior manufacturing or production experience.
  • Preference given to prior work experience lasting longer than 1 year. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. 
  • This position requires standing, walking, twisting, and occasionally bending. 
  • Lifting of 10-25 lbs. often.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information.
  • Required use of hands to pick up, handle and move parts often.
