Description

Summary:

In conjunction with the Health Center Clinical Manager and the Practice Manager oversees clinical staff, including staffing needs, assignment of duties, evaluations and education. Delivers patient care including assessment, treatment, care planning, evaluation and education. Coordinates patient care activities in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, and MDIH Health Centers Policies and Procedures. Participates in programs and committees to monitor, improve and evaluate clinical quality.


This position will be based as the Trenton Health Center.

Requirements

Education, Training or Certifications Required:

  1. RN with Current ME licensure.
  2. Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  3. ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
  4. PALS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year.


Experience Required:

  1. Demonstrated ability to effectively and positively interact with a multi-disciplinary staff, patients, and others.
  2. Strong leadership and team building skills required.

  2. Ability to work with distressed or anxious patients or family members required.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Physical Demands:

  1. Must be able to stand, walk and bend up to 8 hours per day.
  2. Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.
  3. Must have adequate hearing, vision and manual dexterity.
  4. Ability to assist patients in rising from exam table, push wheelchair patients and assist patients in rising from and returning to wheelchair.
  5. Must be physically able to perform CPR.
