Description

At Delta Electronics Manufacturing Corp., the Regional Sales Manager has four primary objectives: build and strengthen both internal and external customer relationships, contribute to an energetic, productive and positive company culture, communicate both good news and bad news to Delta’s leadership team and increase revenue and profitability within the region. The Regional Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and works collaboratively with other sales, marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, manufacturing and human resource team members.


Build and strengthen both internal and external customer relationships.

• Quickly respond to team members, both internal and external. Be proactive and anticipate needs.

• Facilitate direct engagement between Delta’s technical experts (engineering, quality and customer service) and external customers.

• Develop internal and external relationships at all levels of the organizations.

• Engage Delta’s MR (Manufacturers’ Representative) teams and external customers with Delta’s leadership team and promote the Delta Difference, https://www.deltarf.com/dd-video .

• Travel within the region, in collaboration with the MR teams, to meet customers in-person with the mission to create new revenue opportunities.

Contribute to an energetic, productive and positive company culture.

• Travel to Delta’s headquarters in Beverly, MA on a quarterly basis, or as required, to support customer visits, audits and to facilitate new customer opportunities.

• Participate in and contribute to Delta team building exercises including sales meetings, product or process training sessions, forecast planning meetings and strategy discussions.

• Contribute new ideas that may increase productivity, improve processes and add overall value to Delta Electronics Manufacturing Corp.

Communicate both good news and bad news to Delta’s Leadership Team.

• Summarize weekly opportunity activity in designated software.

• Summarize regional customer visits and notable customer interactions, identifying new customer opportunities, programs and action items, in Microsoft Teams.

• Communicate customer challenges to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Challenges may include but not be limited to quality, delivery, pricing or other important market issues that may impact new or existing opportunity success rate.

Increase revenue and profitability within the region.

• Develop and execute an effective regional sales strategy, designed to achieve profitable growth. Travel to each territory within the region, on a quarterly basis, or as needed by customer opportunities.

• Set booking goals for each MR and track the opportunity pipeline in sales revenue dollars by calculating the projected 12-month revenue for each opportunity.

• Focus on developing new opportunities that solve customer problems by utilizing Delta’s vertical integration, technical experts and AS 9100 quality system.

• Educate both MR teams and external customers on Delta’s core competency: RF (radio frequency) and MMW (millimeter wave) connector and cable assembly solutions.

• Support Delta’s distributor channel partners and coordinate strategy with Delta’s Distribution Sales Manager and MR network.


Western Region:

• Northern California and Northern Nevada and Southern California and Southern Nevada

• Washington, Oregon, Idaho

• Canadian Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia


Requirements

The position requires a thorough understanding of the RF/Microwave and Millimeter Wave interconnect marketplace.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration or the equivalent in experience.

• Minimum experience of 10 years in the electronics market in a sales or marketing role. RF interconnect experience a plus.

• Outstanding verbal and written skills.

• Experience developing, maintaining, and leveraging business relationships with customers, distributors, primes, and subcontractors.

• Experience prospecting for new customers within the military, aerospace, broadcast, test & measurement and communication markets.

• Skills in developing internal and external partnerships and promoting technical product solutions.
