We have an opportunity for experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join us as Project Manager within the Land Surveying department based out of Lehigh Valley headquarters in Allentown, PA. 

 
 

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing proposals and communicating with clients.
  • Performing project research.
  • Supervising survey field and office staff.
  • Reviewing accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches.
  • Performing computations for boundary, topographic, as-built, and construction surveys.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conducting client meetings.
  • Attending municipal meetings.
  • Working closely with the Department Head to assure operational goals are met.
  • Coordinating the proper care and maintenance of all assigned survey equipment, vehicles, and tools.
Requirements

  

  • Professional Land Surveyor license in PA (MD and/or NJ a plus). (We would consider an SIT that could obtain their PLS within 6 months of hire)
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
  • Prior project and client management experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center (Bentley MicroStation a plus).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Remains familiar with the common laws of boundaries
  • Responsibilities will require a blend of office and field work and will require the ability to endure moderate physical strain, including walking and standing for extended periods of time, climbing, and working outdoors in sites that are under construction in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license - for travel to client sites/meetings
  • Ability to attend evening meetings
  • Ability to obtain clearances (for PA Act 34, 114, and 151) as we often work at school sites in PA.
