Program Development Manager
WFH Flexible National City, CA


In collaboration with the Director of Curriculum, the Program Development Manager will be responsible for managing program associates and assisting with curriculum development including innovating, reviewing, editing, and translating curriculum in both English and Spanish. The Program Development Manager will also collaborate with the Training and Quality Assurance Director for planning of trainings.   


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Supervisor.)

· Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to oversee the direct support, coordination, and execution of daily administrative and programmatic departmental requirements.

· Manage, communicate, and support a team of program associates so that curriculum deliverables are created/updated accurately and meet tight deadlines. 

· Responsible for assisting in developing, reviewing, and editing the educator and parent education curricula in English and Spanish. 

· Assist in the adaptation of curriculum and training of PIQE programming for national implementation.

· Translate and ensure effective communication of original content of curriculum materials including lesson plans, handouts, exercise materials, and presentations from English to Spanish.

· Work collaboratively with regional offices in disseminating curriculum material and program operation forms, training of curriculum implementation and evaluation methods.

· Research and compile the most up to date information on K-12 education for the California school system and National standards to keep curriculum content and materials relevant by reviewing publications and attending educational workshops.

· Communicate curriculum updates to staff to ensure trainings reflect relevant information. 

· Occasionally facilitate and deliver PIQE programs in-person and/or virtually to families and educators. 

· Through data analysis and observation, ensure proper implementation of curricula at appropriate standards-based level.

· Design, train, and support the structures and processes necessary to implement robust data-driven instructional delivery.

· Occasional weekend/evening work.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Program Development Manager will manage program associates and may supervise student interns, volunteers, and temporary employees, as necessary.


· Bachelor’s degree of study in education, curriculum and instruction, counseling, social sciences, or related field.

· Experience designing educational curriculum based on national standards and/or facilitating training with families/adults.

· Proven experience in team management and leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and guide a diverse team toward achieving common goals.

· Classroom experience or working in adult learning is extremely desirable.

· Bilingual Spanish/English language skills are mandatory including fluently writing and reading in Spanish and English to effectively translate materials.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient in use of standard information technologies including Microsoft software, the worldwide web and database experience.

· Minimum of three years’ experience in the educational sector and/or non-profit sector.

· Have strong knowledge of school district structures, policies, procedures and student graduation requirements.

· Awareness and understanding of factors supporting and affecting the success of under-resourced, first generation, students of color required.

· Proven ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

Salary Description
$60,000 - $65,000
