Manager, Finance & Capital Markets

The Manager of Finance & Capital Markets reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance and Capital Markets, will be responsible for execution of the group’s corporate funding needs (debt, and equity), support tax equity and tax credit transferability structuring and execution, large infrastructure financings and [treasury related activities including Credit Support facilitation and interest rate and commodity hedging] with the objective of optimizing the business’s cost of capital and strengthening the overall capitalization profile of our business. This position will be based in our Houston Office.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of corporate and/or large infrastructure financing with lenders and legal advisors.
  • Develop and /or manage corporate and project finance models to analyze project and partnership level performance and valuation of investments.
  • Assist in the negotiation of term sheets, credit agreements, strategic JVs and other finance documents.
  • Support capital structuring and underwriting of energyRe, inclusive of M&A targets and acquisition financing
  • Manage due diligence and analysis of corporate debt financings, asset acquisitions, and asset divestitures.
  • Create Investment Committee presentations for internal approvals; investor presentations and marketing materials for Financing RFPs.
  • Maintain a high degree of coordination with the project development team to ensure construction and term financings are properly evaluated through due diligence and the funding requirements are well understood.
  • Interface with capital providers, commercial and investment banks to market and structure transactions.
  • Provide coaching to team members to foster their development.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent


Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in project/corporate finance and/or investment banking.
  • Experience in renewables, including solar, wind, storage and tax equity.


Other Skills

  • Strong leadership skills including a strong sense of personal ownership, commitment, and accountability.
  • Ability to balance delegation with being “hands on” in both documentation and modelling.
  • Humble, positive outlook with a simple, open communication style.
  • Track record of managing multiple time sensitive priorities; and,

The Manager of Finance & Capital Markets may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:

  • remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, 
  • moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, 
  • adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions, 
  • repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and
