POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Technology plays a key leadership role in the DwyerOmega IT team. The Sr. Director, Enterprise Technology engages with their team to deliver innovative data driven solutions that deliver efficiency, speed, and value to operational areas of the organization. This includes providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise resource planning (ERP), Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and HR systems and establishing robust data, reporting, and analytics capabilities. This individual will also manage and lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Execute the company's business application and ERP strategy, including system selection, implementation, and integration with other business systems.
- Lead and oversee implementation projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify business needs, process improvements, and system enhancements to optimize system performance.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in managing business applications, including expertise in middleware and integrations (e.g., SOA, APIs, Boomi).
- Ensure adherence to best practices, data security, and compliance standards in system operations.
- Lead, manage and coordinate activities surrounding data modeling, data warehousing, data integrations, and analytics for transactional activities, operational and financial reporting.
- Build and lead a high-performing team that collaborates effectively both within the IT department and with business stakeholders.
- Set clear performance objectives, monitor employee performance, and provide coaching to foster individual and team growth.
- Ensure IT policies and procedures are followed consistently across the organization.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of Enterprise Information Technology experience with a focus on ERP systems, data and reporting, and project management.
- Prior experience with ERP and CRM systems such as SAP S/4 HANA, Syteline, Oracle EBS, Salesforce.com, MS Dynamocs. Etc.
- Experience in implementing and managing data warehouses, data integrations, and related capabilities for advanced reporting and forecasting throughout out the enterprise.
- Experience with middleware tools such as Boomi for ERP and business application integrations is highly desirable.
- Expertise in various software delivery models – waterfall, hybrid, agile.
- Proven expertise in scoping, architecting, and implementing ERP solutions to meet complex global business requirements.
- Solid understanding of application integrations using middleware tools for seamless data transfer and system interactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative approach in working with diverse teams, customers, vendors, and third parties.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to multitask and handle interruptions effectively.
- Commitment to adhering to safety policies and guidelines.
- Willingness to take on special projects as directed by senior management.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT or related area or equivalent experience in ERP Development, Management, or IT Business Systems.
Essential/Preferred Skills :
- MBA or advanced degree in related area
- PMP certification
- Lean Process Improvement training and/or certification
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Availability to work outside of core business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required for system upgrades or migrations.
- Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to lift 30-50 lbs without assistance.
- Local and/or international travel will be required as needed (10-15%) including some extended stays on location for education or deployments. Must have a valid driver's license and Passport.
