Description

The Branch Manager is a leadership position overseeing one branch. The Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for the Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Customer Experience of the residential and small commercial solar installation projects that are completed by the branch(s). Additionally, the Branch Operations Manager is responsible for organizing, motivating, and leading the branch operations team. The Branch Operations Manager will be accountable for key performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the SunVena standards of safety, quality, and production on the job site.
  • Oversee and/or participate in daily and weekly meetings for departmental and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Manage Branch, Field Supervisors and support Employees for all solar-related activities to ensure compliance with SunVena and OSHA standards.
  • Monitor labor costs to ensure they are consistent with SunVena targets, identify labor cost overruns and implement strategies, training, and protocols to fix issues causing the overruns.
  • Coordinate with the Safety and Fleet Manager to ensure Field Supervisors are properly training their teams and complying with safety laws.
  • Directly oversee critical projects and supervise large installation sites as necessary.
  • Review all accident/incident reports and complete investigations.
  • Ensure proper planning and coordination of all solar operations to ensure conformity to codes, plans, solar industry standards, manufacturer's instructions, and SunVena Power guidelines.
  • Monitor work to ensure projects conform to plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets; evaluate for quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain records of all calls, e-mails, conversations, and other forms of communication relating to projects.
  • Monitor labor costs to ensure they are consistent with SunVena’s targets, identify labor cost overruns and implement strategies, training, and properly training their teams and complying with safety laws.
  • Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of projects.
  • Assess potential installation sites to determine feasibility, project needs and design requirements.
  • Oversee all aspects of the installation process: communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Review future jobs to make changes if needed for a design that way a job does not get held back and gets installed properly. Work closely with the design team.
  • Manage inventory effectively by forecasting future material needed and keeping track of consumables and parts being used by team members.
  • Making sure that all team members have the appropriate materials and tools to perform their job successfully and avoid interruptions because of parts missing, etc.
  • Conduct safety and quality audits.
  • Keeping up with code changes and requirements by meeting with different AHJ, and inspectors.
  • Ensure that every member of the branch team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position.
  • Work closely with the Director of Install to provide accurate installation forecasts and branch performance reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and adhering to state regulations, industry standards, safety protocols, production targets, and quality standards.
