III. Job Description
The Merchandiser Intern is responsible for assisting the Buyer in maintaining Golf Shop retail and merchandise operations; along with other needs within Golf Shop daily operations.
Start Date: April 15th – October 15th
Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, with Monday and Wednesday dedicated to Golf Shop shifts (schedule subject to change). April work schedule would only be 2 days a week and then 5 days a week in May. Most weeks will be 2-3 golf shop shifts and 2-3 merchandise shifts with a max of 5 days per week.
Shift Hours: Most merchandise shifts will be from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Golf Shop shifts from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
IV. Responsibilities
Merchandise
o Organizational Skills: Maintain the stockroom's organization and efficiency.
o Shop Cleanliness: Ensure the shop is consistently neat and clean, including folding, sizing, and ongoing cleaning.
o Golf Shop Support: Participate in daily golf shop operations, including golfers' check-in, opening/closing procedures, and maintaining a tidy Golf Shop.
o Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, offer professional advice, and assist all guests with product inquiries.
o Point of Sale (POS): Utilize the Jonas POS system for transactions and inventory management.
o Product Knowledge: Stay well-informed about all golf shop products to efficiently and effectively assist guests
o Inventory: Learn to receive, tag, track, store, and merchandise inventory effectively.
o Visual Merchandising: Create visually appealing and organized product displays that align with the Erin Hills brand aesthetic, boost sales, and provide a welcoming environment for our guests.
o Embroidery Coordination: Collaborate with local embroidery partner to facilitate apparel pick-ups and drop-offs.
o Uniforms: Assist in the distribution of staff uniforms, keeping records, coordinating with the Retail Manager to maintain inventory, addressing staff uniform-related issues, and maintaining the uniform storage area
Online Store
o Full-fill all online store orders in a timely fashion
§ Process through Jonas, packaging & shipping out
o Monitor Online Store inventory & sizing
o Develop new ways to generate sales through Online Store.
V. Physical Requirements
o Apply physical dexterity with some bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding and carrying
o Occasional lifting of 50 pounds unassisted
