Welcome to the Embroidery Department Puller role! In this role, you will be responsible for pulling orders for the embroidery department, ensuring accuracy, and sorting the orders according to customer requirements. You will also be tasked with communicating with other departments to ensure timely delivery of ordered items. Duties/Responsibilities:
- You must be organized and detail-oriented in order to be successful in this role.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Examine fabric for defects and properly take action to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure that the correct fabric or garment is pulled from the appropriate inventory locations.
- Transfer and process customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in the design and layout of fabric for embroidery projects.
- Working knowledge of computer systems use for data entry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Transport merchandise between warehouse, receiving stations, and production areas.
- Pulling inventory from warehouse for next day air processing.
- Interfaces regularly with supply chain, productions, and customer service to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Work with relevant departments to problem-solve.
- Assist in other clerical duties as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items before shipping.
- Able to clearly report information to others with a professional style that has a positive impact on the team.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of steady, reliable work ethic and attendance.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Basic understanding of shipping and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Background working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data. and create reports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred.
- Must be able to comprehend basic instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- State valid driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate the loading of materials, which may include access to a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, bending, and standing.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs., at a time.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in a warehouse.
