Responsibilities will include:

  • Acts as lead operator & shift supervisor
  • Use measuring tools & coordinate measuring machine
  • Make decisions concerning cell quality & output
  • Perform machine set up & adjustments
  • Perform minor machine maintenance, as required
  • Change & adjust tooling, as necessary
  • Writes & edits CNC programs, as required

Position Purpose:

To keep all operations in the Machine shop running. The lead is also responsible for the scheduling of jobs, upkeep on all the machines and the tooling in the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as lead operator & shift supervisor
  • Use measuring tools & coordinate measuring machine
  • Make decisions concerning cell quality & output
  • Perform machine set up & adjustments
  • Perform minor machine maintenance, as required
  • Change & adjust tooling, as necessary
  • Writes & edits CNC programs, as required
  • Run machines to desire quality and productivity levels, as specified by internal machining
  • Does other miscellaneous work as required


Physical Demands:

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Movement of more than 50% of the time is in a standing position, as well using hands/fingers, reaching, stooping, bending, or crouching. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.


Work Environment:
