DESCRIPTION
- Operate a DOT regulated herbicide application truck while performing the application of herbicides to Railroad Right of Way; primarily on-rail application.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe operation of application equipment on public roadways and customer property
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with all regulatory agencies and customer standards
- Mixing and loading herbicides
- Handheld spraying of herbicides on uneven surfaces
- Maintain inventory and inventory tracking on trucks and in warehouses.
- Submitting Daily Report Logs as requested
- Using ELD (Electronic Logging Devices)
- Using Web and App based platforms to access company resources from a personal handheld device
- Daily communications with customers and management
- Keep equipment in good working order and report issues to Management Team
- Other duties as needed to support the day-to-day business.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Able to acquire state pesticide licensing to support regional operations, certification provided by company
- Able to pass a U.S. Dept of Homeland security background check (eRailSafe) and other background requirements as mandated per customer contract.
- Able to learn and understand industrial vegetation management.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to read, talk, and hear clearly.
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
