What Will You Do? 


The Licensing and Training Specialist Lead’s primary purpose is to provide recruitment, training, guidance, coordination, and compliance management to assigned Foster Parents.. Performance will be measured by your individual outcomes, achieving your individual targets/goals, your contribution to your overall program team/department and your buy-in to the culture of the organization.  The Licensing and Training Specialist will display the following:

  • Display trauma informed practices and principles in your interactions with customers and with peers
  • Ensure each foster parent on your assigned caseload is supported and meeting all necessary regulatory and training standards
  • Ensure all foster parent charts are always “audit ready”
  • Provide high quality training, re-training, and continued education to foster parents on your caseload
  • Participate in recruitment events, marketing, and other methods to encourage increased foster parent interest at Thompson
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements


What qualifications do you need?


 The Licensing and Training Specialist needs the following:

  • Must have a valid Driver License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in. 
  • Education requirement for this individual contributor role is: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills. Meets criteria as a Qualified Professional in North Carolina.
