Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manages projects from planning through delivery to ensure best-in-class client service for projects.
  • Serves, in combination with the Study Director(s), as the primary contact and communication link between the Company and the customer.
  • Maintains close contact with the client representative(s) through meetings, site visits, teleconferences, and other forums to ensure that issues are addressed, and project timeline activities are met.
  • Manages client expectations efficiently with minimal guidance. Maintains strong working relationships with all client representatives.
  • Negotiates project conflicts within the Company and with the necessary customer contacts, ensuring resolutions that are amenable to both parties and/or informing management of potential risks & issues.
  • Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs, and meeting plans are communicated.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. 
  • Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders. 
  • Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the team to methods and goals and track project tasks. 
  • Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. 
  • Monitors task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans. 
  • Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary. 
  • Run reports, analyze data, develop presentations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and train Jr. Project/program Managers and Customer Experience Specialists.


Requirements

This is for you if you have:

  • BS/BA in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience, with 3+ years in project management.
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program.
  • Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals involved in program management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet research.

Ideally, we would like to see:

  • Experience with Science and life science product and services project management.
  • PMP certification or knowledge of PMBOK preferred.

The work environment may consist of moderate noise (i.e business office computers, phones, printers, and light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
