Description

Position Summary

The  Trading Post Staff provides a welcoming experience for all SpringHill Guests  in our onsite store and snack shack. The Trading Post Staff is responsible for  the cleanliness and organization of the Trading Post and snack shack,  including but not limited to; ensuring that the Trading Post store and snack  shack is stocked, clean and welcoming for all SpringHill Guests.


Key Job Functions

· Ability to interact  with SpringHill Guests in a positive, friendly manner

· Possess  knowledge about the culture at SpringHill in order to be able to answer  questions from SpringHill Guests

· Assist  in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the Trading Post including;  tagging, hanging and organizing, restocking and rotating merchandise for sale,  general cleaning and creating an overall welcoming environment for guests

· Ability  to count cash register drawers, balance drawers and reconcile at the end of  shift

· Be  able to work with the software programs used by the Trading Post store

· Complete  other duties as assigned by the Trading Post Coordinator


Experience and Qualifications Requirements

· Commitment to the  mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill

· Organized,  detail orientated with the ability to multi-task

· Must  possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Minimum  of one-year camp ministry experience preferred

· Previous  retail experience/customer service preferred


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

· Must  have a full understanding of basic math skills

· Must  be available to work a varied schedule including nights and weekends

· Must  be able to lift, bend, and twist

· Ability  to push and pull loads

· Must  be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with  assistance from downstairs to upstairs.
