SUMMARY:

The Sustainability Intern is responsible for assisting the Sustainability Manager and Head of Sustainability in certification processes and projects associated with O’Neill’s Sustainable efforts. This includes collecting internal data for certifications including, but not limited to, TRUE Zero, CSWA, B Corp, ISO 14001, ESG and Scope 1,2,3, Carbon Neutrality, CCOF, and ROC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collecting internal data usage for Green House Gas (GHG) emissions across all departments (water, electricity, fuel, solar, etc.) 
  • Assist with collecting data for Scope 3 Emissions.
  • Assist with waste data collection across Parlier and Robert Hall Winery to continue office space Zero waste practices and improvements.
  • Assist with data collection to achieve and maintain Organic (CCOF) certification for vineyards and both Parlier and Robert Hall Winery facilities.
  • Assist with data collection to achieve and maintain Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC).
  • Assist with improving B Corp score and standing – research into areas to help improve.
  • Assisting in recertifications through multiple platforms.
  • Working with internal departments to collect data and information.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis of data, pull data
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace 
  • Capable of multitasking, completing multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to work as a team or individually as the situation requires.
  • Ability to adhere to companies’ 4 core standards (Trust, Ingenuity, Forward-Thinking, Always Deliver)
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Sit for prolonged periods
  • Perform some repetitive motion activities
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
