Triage Responsibilities
* Triage incoming phone calls according to protocol; elevate to RN or provider level, as necessary. Take messages or transfer calls as necessary or send telephone encounter to care team or provider/team member, as needed.
* Schedule urgent patient add-ons and telehealth appointments, as needed.
* Handle incoming medication refills and lab results.
* Ability to use good judgement and prioritize phone calls and patient concerns.
* Must be comfortable working independently and in conjunction with triage nurse (RN).
* Strong customer service skills and time-management skills.
* Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal.
* Actively work Care Team telephone encounters; minimize the number of callbacks from other team members whenever possible.
* Must have experience with using an EMR (electronic medical record); eClinicalWorks experience a plus.
* Must always respect patient confidentiality; Maintain HIPAA regulations and the privacy practices.

* Certified Medical Assistant or LPN (preferred)

* Work is performed in a medical office setting using standard medical equipment. The risk of exposure to blood and bodily fluids is present.
