Imaging Analyst



The Imaging Analyst utilizes both proprietary and 3rd party software to annotate, and analyze medical images across a variety of imaging modalities, therapeutic treatments, and anatomic regions. Clinical applications training and oversight for these tasks are provided by MMI’s experienced scientific staff. The Imaging Analyst contributes both to the production of regulated data for clinical trials as well as internal data labeling for development of proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions.


  • Perform data annotation tasks to generate data labels for AI/ML development
  • Assist ML Engineers to evaluate and refine AI model performance by visually inspecting and curating large datasets of medical images and associated data labels 
  • Perform image calibration so that measured distances may be reported in real-world units
  • Identify imaging modalities, views, and anatomic features of interest
  • Place landmarks on anatomic features in accordance with MMI training
  • Perform image registration of rigid structures visible in the imaging
  • Understand how to recognize and compensate for image quality challenges during analysis
  • Document image quality challenges and other noteworthy observations 
  • Identify and document data discrepancies related to image labeling or source documentation
  • Understand the Medical Metrics Quality Policy and support the achievement of the organization’s quality objectives and take corrective action when necessary to mitigate organizational risk
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, ISO 9001, and Current Good Clinical Practices (cGCP’s) relative to job tasks
  • Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Experience with medical imaging, especially: X-Ray, CT, MRI
  • Prior experience at an imaging core lab, medical device manufacturer, or biotech company
