 JOB TITLE: Material Coordinator 

REPORTS TO:   Manager  

JOB STATUS: Full Time  

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt  

 

JOB SUMMARY:  

Manages and monitors material inventories to ensure the company has necessary tools and supplies for the installation of Baggage Handling Systems.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Order material needed for each project.  
  • Ensure timely shipping and delivery.  
  • Manage and monitor inventory.  
  • Ensure materials and tools are organized and properly stored.  
  • Follow proper material ordering procedures.  
  • Maintain documentation and files according to procedures.  
  • Organize inventory and install inventory racking as needed 
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. 
  • Anticipate and resolve problems as they arise.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Installation job site

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • Construction Environment 
  • Repetitive walking, climbing stairs 
  • Occasional physical hands-on construction 
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds 

WORK SCHEDULE:  Varied full-time schedule with some overtime required based on business needs. 

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Strong organizational skills.  
  • Requires being able to respond to problem situations in a timely manner. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all departments within the company. 
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines. 
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges. 
  • Ability to work in dynamic and changing environments. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • 2+ years in related position 
  • Experience operating a forklift 
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel 
  • Print reading 
  • OSHA 10 
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
