Description

Position Summary:

The Human Resource Manager aids with and facilitates human resource processes across the ICC Family of Solutions. This position also assists with research, development, and implementation of effective strategies to improve efficiencies and assist with change management across the organization. This role provides administrative support and collaboration to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employment, compliance, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, performance management, retention, affirmative action and immigration. 
  • Handles routine HR inquiries, managing to completion.
  • Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on employment law (including California).
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Research, develop, write and update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations through strategic thinking and direction.
  • Engage senior management team with exceptional communication, partnering across regions
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and multi-state employment law.
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files utilizing HRIS.
  • Assist with other related duties as assigned. i.e. recruitment and onboarding.
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • The desire to learn the human resources operation's financial strategies - estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • In-depth understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • The drive to assist in implementation of human resources strategies: talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, diversity and inclusion, succession planning, employee relations and retention, safety and health, and compliance.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment, prioritize tasks, and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • The ability to problem-solve and find solutions.
  • Proven establishment of providing human resources objectives that align with organizational goals
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. The ability to be emotionally intelligent, trustworthy, and dependable.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Paylocity (or similar HRIS), and compensation management tools.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • At least six (6) years of professional/corporate HR experience required.
  • PHR/SPHR certification required.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred

$99,000-$113,000
