Role Summary

The Sales Support role is a great starting point to join the Southern Eagle Distributing family and start your career. As Sales Support, you’ll bring a positive energy and self-motivation to support the field Sales Team grow the company’s accounts. Sales Support will train to learn the company’s sales policies and procedures through hands-on training with field sales team during an 80-day program. Sales Support adheres to and advances the Southern Eagle Distributing, Inc. (SED) mission and vision while embodying our core values and core competencies. They are responsible for ensuring and assisting each function of the sales department is met with SED expectations and standards.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist field sales teams in merchandising accounts
  • Cover assigned routes for the sales department
  • Increase distribution of assigned products
  • Secure best possible selling position for SED brands and packages (i.e. shelf space, displays, etc.)
  • Merchandise accounts with POS, build displays and reset coolers
  • Order sufficient product inventory to eliminate out of stock situations
  • Review sales trends with store personnel
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, special events and other duties, as assigned
  • Listen to and resolve service complaints
  • Stock shelves, racks, and storage areas
  • Maintain proper code date rotation
  • Assist Account Managers in sales and merchandising accounts

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bi-lingual (both English and Spanish)
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Preferred skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 180 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the job
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug screening
  • Must pass a motor vehicle report and meet insurance liability requirements
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Alcohol & Beverage industry, highly preferred
  • Program and budget development, implementation, management and strategic decision-making experience, highly preferred
  • This position may require you to move and rotate various parts of your body including but not limited to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, speak and hear
