Our audit professionals work in a variety of industries including governmental, nonprofit, manufacturing, construction, financial institutions, and employee benefit plans. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in assisting with financial statement audits, internal controls testing, and compliance procedures while gaining valuable experience working with a variety of clients. You will collaborate as part of a team across offices to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role requires travel to client sites for fieldwork. 


A Day in the Life of an Audit Senior.... 

  • Perform Audit Procedures: Execute audit procedures in accordance with firm policies and professional standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare Workpapers & Reports: Document audit findings, prepare workpapers, and contribute to financial statement preparation.
  • Assist in Engagement Planning: Work with supervisors and managers to plan audit engagements, including risk assessment and audit strategy.
  • Identify & Resolve Issues: Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies or risks, and work with engagement teams to resolve issues.
  • Communicate with Clients:  Maintain direct communication with client personnel to obtain necessary information and clarify audit questions.
  • Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance and support to audit associates, reviewing work and offering feedback for development.
  • Stay Current on Standards: Continuously develop technical knowledge by keeping up with changes in auditing and accounting standards.
  • Time & Task Management: Manage multiple assignments efficiently, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance ( 150  credits highly desired).
  • Active CPA license or desire to attain CPA license.
  • 2-4 years’ experience auditing with a public accounting firm.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS.
  • Ability to reason intelligently and use sound judgment.
  • Professional demeanor towards duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment.
  • Leadership experience and desire to participate in leadership opportunities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
