Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Serve 4-6 tables, or as determined by management.
· Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
· Check in with the MOD and host at the beginning of each shift.
· Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner, ensuring guest complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
· Enter and complete customers’ orders on the computer system, accept different types of payment.
· Maintain complete knowledge of Restaurant’s food and beverage preparation.
· Manage all tables efficiently and through attentive service and precise order taking.
· Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; politely refuse beverages to guests who are not of legal age.
· Clear and reset tables. Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· California Food Handler’s card and ABC certification is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food and alcohol.
· A willingness to work mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
· Physical stamina to lift and carry items (food, dishes, etc.)
· High energy and strong verbal communication skills required.
· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment.
· Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents.
