Transmission Development Analyst
Description

The Development Analyst will be responsible for supporting energyRe’s efforts in transmission development in a variety of project development and due diligence activities.  The Analyst will support the SVP, Transmission Development and other senior leaders in various roles developing, executing, and managing projects.  


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Data compilation and analysis to advance existing transmission project developments.
  • Engaging in strategy development, market research and competitor analysis.
  • Create documents and presentations for the various projects or tasks.
  • Prepare budgets, meeting agenda’s and taking notes in Strategy and Departmental meetings.
  • Utilize project management skills to develop and implement process and system improvements.
  • Proactively and reactively use processes to solve problems and enhance business process efficiencies throughout the entire development department.
  • Coordinate and manage stakeholder communication efforts.
  • Assist in obtaining certain local, state and/or federal permits.
  • Represent energyRe with customers, state and local officials and other stakeholders.
  • Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical support.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, accounting, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree preferred (M.S., MBA, or equivalent)


Required Experience

  • 1 – 3 years in management consulting, engineering, due diligence, or research activities.
  • Deference will be given to experience in engineering related to the transmission grid and/or experience from a state or federal regulatory agency.

  • Ability to manage the development and strategic process for energy projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-function team environment with strong prioritization, organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and confidence to identify questions which affect material market/ project assumptions and raise these to the offshore development team members.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, over several projects, at different stages of development.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation, implementation, and oversight preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong scheduling skills and ability List any other required skills that are not shown above.
  • A strong understanding of the development process of renewable energy projects desired.
  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skills.
  • Strong public speaking and personal skills.
  • Ability to write effective, concise reports.
  • Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Able to prioritize assignments, multi-task, and re-prioritize assignments as needed.
  • Project management certification desired.
Salary Description
$80,000 - 100,000k annually + discretionary bonus
