Description

MikeWorldWide (MWW) is looking for an Account Director to join our global Paid Digital Practice and execute paid social media campaigns across both Consumer and Corporate/B2B clients. As an Account Director, this role will oversee the development of thoughtful strategies for our clients while providing leadership and training to junior staff. The AD will also be a liaison with internal teams supporting paid integration across the company and ensuring paid is executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate is passionate about and is immersed in the full paid digital landscape, knows how to translate data into actionable and valuable insights for brands, has strong writing and communication skills, can explain complex strategies clearly, and can manage multiple client accounts. This role will support teams across the agency and will be based out of our New York office.


 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside leaders of the Digital Practice and Paid Digital Team as well as teams across the agency to help enhance social offerings for both our Consumer and Corporate/B2B clients to ensure agency is evolving and staying ahead of the curve 
  • Thoughtfully execute and develop a paid strategy based on a deep understanding of channels and the overall goal for the client
  • Oversee the execution of multiple facets of client programs including social strategy development, paid media strategy development, campaign execution, and analytics and detailed and actionable reporting to help clients meet their business objectives
  • Deliver client-ready materials including plans, memos, proposal decks, reports, and timelines with minimal input needed from paid team leadership 
  • Analyze key metrics and propose strategies and optimizations as needed to maximize program KPIs across all relevant platforms, such as paid social, programmatic placements, OOH, CTV, SEM, direct buys, and others  
  • Provide detailed actionable insights based on data analysis from completed and in-progress campaigns 
  • Uncover and present creative solutions to client challenges utilizing paid channel tools 
  • Research and understand relevant industry trends, influencers, competitors, target audiences, and users as they relate to each client 
  • Participate in new business research and proposals as needed by being a trusted paid expert and providing clear and thoughtful slides or conversation in pitches 
  • Oversee reports and account management needs for clients, ensure the client is satisfied with the work provided and actively look for ways to better service or provide additional services 
  • Constantly think strategically for clients throughout execution, optimizations, and reporting 
  • Speak knowledgeably, clearly, and concisely to clients on recommended optimizations and strategies 
  • Provide strategic and insight training to junior team members on paid campaign execution and reporting 
  • Understand the end-to-end digital/creative development process and when to pull in specialists from across the organization, understands specialists' value/function, and how to deploy them with success. 
  • Leads junior staff by example, operating in perpetual beta and motivating and inspiring others to do the same 



Requirements
  • 6-8 years of experience that includes paid media campaign management across a major paid media channels 
  • Prior experience with social media measurement, and paid media ad platforms is a must; this includes tools such native social channel insight tools and others. 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience executing social media paid media advertising on relevant platforms such as paid social, programmatic, SEM, OTT, OOH, direct buys, and others 
  • Strong reporting skills and the ability to turn data into insights and recommendations
  • Ability to “get smart quickly”- understand and learn different business sectors swiftly
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; proofreading and editing ability
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining client interaction on a daily basis and helping the account team retain and grow the business 
  • Ability to manage tight timelines, work in an environment with multiple projects live simultaneously
  • Be a strong, empathetic leader, who can lead by example, identify areas for improvement in junior staff, and support learning within those areas
